MYVUSEREWARDS PROGRAMME TERMS AND CONDITIONS
British American Tobacco South Africa Proprietary Limited is running MyVuseRewards programme until 30 November 2025. Any rewards earned during the period will be redeemable up until 31 December 2025 at which point they will expire.
Should MyVuseRewards continue after 30 November 2025, you will continue to be a member of MyVuseRewards, subject to the below terms and conditions (as may be amended), unless and until you opt out in accordance with clause 26.
Terms and Conditions
- MyVuseRewards is offered by British American Tobacco South Africa Proprietary Limited, having its registered address at 3 Dock Road, Waterway House, V&A Waterfront, Cape Town, South Africa, 8001 (“BATSA, we, our”).
- MyVuseRewards aims to give registered participants (“Participants”) an opportunity to earn rewards which can be redeemed from our Vuse stores and online at https://www.vuse.com/za/en/.
- The below terms set out the basis on which Participants can earn rewards as well as all applicable terms regarding MyVuseRewards.
- By enrolling in MyVuseRewards, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”), our Privacy Notice and the Vuse Terms and Conditions, which are incorporated herein by reference (collectively the “T&Cs”).
- If you do not agree to T&Cs, you cannot participate in MyVuseRewards.
CONSUMER DISCLOSURES
- We draw all Participant’s attention to the fact that the T&Cs contain provisions that:
- limit our and/or other third parties’ liability towards you;
- place certain assumptions of risk on you (including certain undertakings and indemnifications) towards us and/or other third parties; and
- includes certain admissions of facts.
- It is therefore important that you read them carefully.
- Nothing in the T&Cs is intended to contravene the applicable provisions of the Consumer Protection Act, 2008 or any similar legislation in any applicable jurisdiction. These T&Cs must be treated as being qualified, to the extent necessary, to ensure compliance with all applicable laws.
MyVuseRewards Eligibility:
- In order to the eligible for MyVuseRewards, you are required to have an account with VUSE and register via our loyalty platform.
- MyVuseRewards is open to individuals who are:
- Aged 18 years or over at the time of registration;
- Existing tobacco and/or nicotine consumers; and
- Resident in South Africa.
- Employees, contractors of BATSA (including any group company and WeCheerSA) and their immediate family directly involved in MyVuseRewards are not eligible to participate in MyVuseRewards.
MyVuseRewards Registration
- Participants must register for MyVuseRewards through the Platform by providing accurate and complete information. Those Participants who do not have a Vuse Account will first be required to register for a Vuse Account.
- The Platform is provided and administered by our service provider WecheerSA, in addition to these Terms you are referred to the WecheerSA Terms of Use and Privacy Notice.[LT1] [VG2]
- Participants are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account credentials and are solely liable for any activities performed using their account.
EARNING POINTS AND REWARDS
- Participants will be notified on the Platform of reward and badge earning activities from time to time. Some examples of ways in which Participants may earn rewards and/or badges include:
- Registering for MyVuseRewards.
- Purchasing of Vuse and/or Velo products.
- Returning your used Vuse pods as part of our Drop the Pod programme.
- Referring your friends who are adult nicotine users who then join MyVuseRewards.
REDEMPTION OF POINTS AND REWARDS
- Participants can redeem rewards:
- At our Vuse Stores.
- Online at https://www.vuse.com/za/en/.
- Through our carefully selected rewards partners (as applicable).
- Loyalty rewards offered, subject to availability and the specific redemption terms communicated through the Platform.
- Participants cannot reverse, cancel or amend a redemption request once requested.
- Participants are not entitled to reverse, exchange, barter or sell a reward, or claim a refund of a reward, regardless of whether the reward has not been used or has expired, unless otherwise agreed to by us in writing.
- Rewards are subject to availability and in accordance with such restrictions, limitations, rules, procedures, charges or exclusions as may be applicable from time to time. All reservations and/or other arrangements relating to the reward must be confirmed directly with the partner. Participants will be obliged to comply with the partner’s own terms and conditions (as may be applicable) with effect from the redemption date.
- We reserve the right to modify MyVuseRewards mechanics, redemption options, and rewards.
- BATSA reserves the right to impose limits on the amount of rewards that can be earned through specific activities or during a certain time period. The relevant information will be revised from time to time, updated and included in the T&Cs and/or on the Platform within the specified timeframes in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations. It is your responsibility to review the T&Cs as well as any notifications that have been provided.
- The ownership of all rewards belongs to BATSA until they are redeemed by the winners. Rewards are non-negotiable, non-transferable, and non-divisible and cannot be sold or resold.
- Without limiting the our rights with respect to anyone in breach of these T&Cs, neither the we nor any redeeming outlet shall be under any obligation to enquire whether the person submitting any reward code is the person entitled to make the claim, regardless of how that person first obtained that reward code.
- All photos, pictures and images on the Platform are illustrative and for reference only.
termination
- Participants may terminate their participation in MyVuseRewards at any time via the Platform. If a Participant elects to opt out of MyVuseRewards, all rewards acquired will be forfeited. If the Participant chooses to rejoin MyVuseRewards after electing to opt out, previous rewards will not be reactivated.
- We reserve the right to cancel MyVuseRewards in whole or in part upon three months’ notice to Participants. In the event of MyVuseRewards termination, Participants may be given a grace period to redeem their rewards, after which the rewards will become void.
- We may modify, suspend, or terminate a Participant’s access to MyVuseRewards anytime for any reason in our sole discretion, including, but not limited to, in the event of fraud, abuse of rewards privileges, where we believe you have breached any of our T&Cs or caused, or may cause, harm or loss to us or any third parties.
Personal Information
- When you register for MyVuseRewards, we will need to collect, hold, use, disclose information about you in connection with your account and rewards. Information will include certain personal information and transaction information relating to rewards.
- We may disclose this information, only as necessary to others in connection to our loyalty program including to:
- Our service providers and agents engaged for the purpose of the administration provision of services relating to our loyalty program and the promotion of the program and available rewards.
- Reward providers, which includes third parties engaged for the purposes of performing other services in connection with our loyalty program including the provision of a reward.

TAX
- Other than as required by applicable law, BATSA will not be responsible for issuing or procuring any tax or other certification, clarification or directive to or on behalf of a Participant or a partner or any third party, or be responsible for any tax liability of a Participant a partner or any third party or other government charge arising from MyVuseRewards.
- A Participant is fully responsible for any tax implications arising from or associated with the receipt, accumulation, transfer, redemption or spend of any rewards as a result of his/her participation in MyVuseRewards and should obtain independent professional tax advice in this regard.
- Participant agrees that BATSA will not be liable for, and fully indemnifies BATSA and holds BATSA harmless against, all damages, claims and fines made against the Participant or BATSA, to the extent to which such damages, claims and fines arise out of or are connected to any taxation relating to the receipt, accumulation, transfer, redemption or spend of any rewards.
Limitation of Liability
- BATSA shall not be liable for any loss, damage, or injury arising out of or in connection with MyVuseRewards, including but not limited to any errors, interruptions, technical issues, or unauthorised access to Participant accounts and/or transactions pertaining to purchases and coupon redemption.
- Participants agree to indemnify and hold BATSA and its suppliers, partners and affiliates harmless from any claims, damages, or losses arising from their participation in MyVuseRewards or violation of these Terms. You hereby indemnify BATSA and its suppliers, partners and affiliates from any loss, damages, liability, claim or demand due to or arising out of your use of the sites or breach by you of these terms and conditions. Inaccuracies in prize descriptions or illustrations, non-availability, loss, interception, late receipt, or damage of any prize claim, promotional reward vouchers, discount prizes, vouchers, prizes, or notifications are not the responsibility of BATSA or its agents. No prize representation, warranty, condition, or guarantee is provided except for those implied by statute and which BATSA cannot exclude.
- BATSA is not responsible for taxes, fees, charges, or other costs associated with transactions, including but not limited to purchases coupon redemption, except as specifically stated in these T&Cs. Participants are responsible for all expenses, injuries, losses, and damages resulting from their participation in the Promotion, any linked activity, or the receipt, use, or misuse of any awarded prize. Participants are responsible for their own network charges.
Force Majeure
- BATSA shall not be liable for any failure or delay in the performance of its obligations under the T&Cs due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including, but not limited to, acts of God, war, terrorism, strikes, labour disputes, civil unrest, natural disasters, government restrictions, power outages, or any other event beyond its reasonable control. Force Majeure Events suspend BATSA’s responsibilities under these Terms. If a Force Majeure Event causes a delay or failure, BATSA is not accountable.
- BATSA is not obligated to compensate Participants for Force Majeure Event losses or inconveniences. BATSA will notify Participants via the Platform or other reasonable means of any Force Majeure Event and its expected duration on MyVuseRewards. Participants accept this Force Majeure Clause and its potential effects by participating in MyVuseRewards.
GENERAL
- These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of South Africa.
- Any disagreements between you and us regarding these Terms and Conditions shall be resolved by the appropriate court of the Western Cape.
- If a provision in these Terms is illegal, void, or unenforceable, it will only be ineffective to that extent without affecting the validity of the remaining provisions.
- A Participant may not cede, delegate or otherwise transfer any rights or obligations arising from these Terms without BATSA’s prior written approval, which approval will be at BATSA’s sole discretion.
- Participants accept that BATSA may in its discretion from time to time and upon notice to the Participants amend, replace, suspend, substitute or terminate these Terms, the MyVuseRewards.
- BATSA may transfer our rights and obligations under these Terms to any company within our group, without any further consent from you.
- BATSA may change, modify or revise these Terms at any time. Any changes made to the Terms will apply 7 days after the date we post the modified terms on the Platform. It is your responsibility to check that you have read and agree with the latest Terms on the Platform.
